Darkest Dungeon is a challenging gothic roguelike turn-based RPG about the psychological stresses of adventuring. Recruit, train, and lead a team of flawed heroes against unimaginable horrors, stress, famine, disease, and the ever-encroaching dark.
The Falconer is a ranged character who shines best in ranks 3 and 4. She is not rendered useless however, if she is forced into ranks 1 and 2 as her avian companion has a variety of moves to help her quickly return to her favored position.
I have the Falconer, Pit Fighter and Onnabushi. The Falconer is good, but overrated. Her camping skills are just lifted from others. (Two straight from the Highwayman, to the point she gets buffs on her melee attacks from one even though she has no melee attacks).

To avoid conflicts with other mods, you can claim a hero ID for your mods here. Check this list before making your heroes, and add your IDs to the table. Currently it is unknown how many hero ids are valid. At least 0-14 (as of v21142) are used for the default heroes.

Okay, I gotz it working! Once you download the mod, unzip the files first. Backup Darkest Dungeon, just in case, before you modify the files. Next go to C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonDarkestDungeon, and copy the files within the mod into the appropriate folder, e.g. copy the files within the heroes folder in the mod to the heroes folder in Darkest Dungeon.
Officially, we can’t give our stamp of approval to any mods at this time because that could come with the obligation for providing technical support and related troubleshooting. Manual installation IS much more stable than the workshop. I’ve noticed that often times users do not get the latest version of a file through the workshop, and I now tell all players to use the manual install when possible. Here’s a gif if you need to know how to do it, it’s super simple!

Before you can start picking a party lineup though, you need to know the best and worst skills each class has available, as well as what unique class camping skills will give you an edge in longer dungeon quests.
